Top pick: #2 (MISCHIEFONMYMIND) - Good speed shown in his debut at Finger Lakes and although he never could catch the wire-to-wire winner he tried hard every step and held on to the place spot. Good barn drops him into a claimer and he's the choice for the win.
2nd pick: #6 (Shamroge) - Has good early speed, runs off a 2 1/2 month layoff, and drops in price. Working well above average and his trainer (George Weaver) is excellent off of long breaks (26%). Gelding is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Gold Cup Kid) - Zito trained colt hasn't shown much in his two starts but they've come against much tougher. $100,000 yearling takes a big drop in price and has a pair of nice works since his last start. Contender.
