Top pick: #7 (LADY RHUBARB) (2-1) - Speedy filly has been freshened up since late August and will be taking a big drop in class and switching from turf to dirt. Her lone win came on the Belmont dirt in early May and she appears to only have one speed rival to outrun in the first 1/4 mile. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Mononoke) (8-5) - The morning line favorite, filly has been freshened up sin mid-October. She's finished second in four of her last six starts and all have come at this level. Working steadily for her return and she's an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Rosemarie) (6-1) - Mare has some early speed but is racing off her second straight layoff. When last in action she tired badly at Belmont and was 15-lengths back of "Mononoke" at the finish. Her only chance is to "gun" for the lead and try and hold on from there.
