Top pick: #6 (MIKE AND ROB) - He raced well in a pair of grass starst last fall and was given the winter off by trainer George Weaver. Gelding had a very tough post here (11th of 12) when returning April 7th and rallied while widest to finish 4th. Effort was encouraging and he draws a much better slot today in his 2nd back off a 4 1/2 month layoff.
2nd pick: #5 (Alarmed Ndangerous) - One of two entered by trainer Linda Rice and the pair will race uncoupled. Colt finished 2nd in a pair of starst on this course last fall and trained in Florida all winter in preparation for his 3yo season. Son of "Silver Wagon" is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Finn Again) - The 2nd of the Rice duo, he raced evenly facing "open" special weight company when debutin on March 11th at Gulfatream. Faces fellow New York-breds today and looks set to contend.
4th pick: #2 (Mr. Cowboy) - He showed nothing when debuting here in early Nov, but has a new trainer (Jim Bond) and this colt has been working very fast for his return. Son of "Stonesider" has the inside post and will race with lasix added.
