Top pick: #6 (READ THE PROPOSAL) (9-5) - The probable favorite he's finished second in both starts since being claimed by Dave Jacobson for $35K on Dec. 31 and going in for almost an eight week break. Speed/stalker is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Cobalto) (2-1) - Dangerous foe, he has the rail, early speed, and trainer Jeremiah Englehart drops him to a new low and adds blinkers. Lightly-raced gelding by "Silver Train" is running third off a long layoff (nine months) and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Ice Wagon) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced, gelding finished third of nine, beaten almost two lengths racing here for a $12.5K tag on April 5th. It was his first on this circuit, first in 100 days, and the 4-year-old was claimed that day by Gary Contessa. Four-year-old has a stalking style and may get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
4th pick: #5 (Stonehedge) (4-1) - He comes off a solid effort six weeks ago when he rallied to run third at this level. Much like "Ice Wagon," he has a shot if the speed doesn't hold up down the stretch.
