Top pick: #6 (RETIRED) (4-1) - I don't believe that this gelding cared for the "good" going on the grass course last out, and in his previous start he lost all chance when he was "bumped" at the break. Barn drops him to a new low and he's finished second in his three prior starts at this mile trip.
2nd pick: #2 (Cameron Canyon) (9-2) - Colt comes of a career best when he finished third here at this distance just five days ago racing for a $16K tag. Stalker is brought back quickly by trainer Dom Galluscio and Cornelio Velasquez is back aboard.
3rd pick: #5 (Primary Focus) (2-1) - Lightly-raced gelding by top sire "Pulpit" takes a big drop in price and the Mark Hennig barn moves him back to the dirt. 3-year-old ran evenly in a pair of starts at Gulfstream when facing tougher and should be competitive against this group.
4th pick: #3 (Milesmore) (3-1) - He's finished third in his last pair without threatening to win in either. Improving, well-bred, and it's nice to see an underrated trainer (Pat Reynolds) back in business after several years away from the game. He was the original conditioner of "Derby" and "Preakness" winner "Big Brown."
