Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (MISCHEVIOUS ALEX) (3-1) - He ships from Gulfstream where he was an impressive seven-length winner of the seven-furlong Swale Stakes (G3) Feb. 1. It was his first start since an easy win at that distance in the Philadelphia Park Juvenile Nov. 5, and this stalker has been working fast at the Palm Meadows Center before shipping here. I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #10 (Untitled) (4-1) - A visually sharp debut winner Dec. 14 at Gulfstream, he then had a very trouble break before checking in seven lengths behind 'Mischevious Alex' in the Swale Stakes (G3) Feb. 1. Shipped to Tampa Bay Downs Feb. 14, he ran 2nd to the highly regarded Pletcher runner 'Gouverneur Morris' in a two-turn contest run in fast time.
3rd pick: #4 (Attachment Rate) (9-2) - Improving sort ships from Gulfstream where he was a very sharp maiden winner Feb. 15. The race was at today's one-turn mile distance, and he's one of four entered who has won at it. Colt by 'Hard Spun' has worked fast since, and I like that Luis Saez comes from Florida for the mount.
4th pick: #8 (Montauk Traffic) (6-1) - Montauk is one of two entered by Linda Rice, and the pair race uncoupled. He's won two in a row at Aqueduct, both at seven furlongs, and scored by 1.5 lengths Feb. 8 in the Jimmy Winkfield Stakes. The grey colt worked a bullet five furlongs Feb. 24 and must be left in the mix.
