Top pick: #6 (DISCO PARTNER) (5-1) - He's one of five making their debuts and this grey colt has a series of solid works showing. Generazio home bred is by a solid first out stallion "Disco Rico" and gets the call at a square price.
2nd pick: #5 (Fear) (2-1) - Home bred was initially prepared at Fair Hill in Maryland and came to Belmont in early September. Trainer Tony Dutrow has worked him six times since then including a very sharp half-mile breeze Oct. 18. Dangerous rival.
3rd pick: #1 (Call Me Stoney) (6-1) - With his boss (trainer Bruce Levine) currently serving a suspension this debuting home bred by "Bustin Stones" runs for assistant Bernie Callejas. His sire was a G1 sprint winner and this colt has some solid a.m. drills showing.
4th pick: #3 (Masons Dream) (8-5) - One of two in today's opener that have started, this colt by "Super Saver" rallied to miss by a "nose" when debuting in a 5.5-furlong sprint at Delaware Park Oct. 16. Trainer Greg Sacco ships him north on a quick turnaround and has him in with fellow New York breds in this spot. A threat, but at a very short price.
