Top pick: #1a (FROSTED) (2-1) - He's part of a Darley owned entry with #1 "Tradesman" and both have a sold shot. This grey son of "Tapit" has finished second in both starts and is stretching out to a mile for the first time. He continues to train sharply on the Saratoga training track and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Aldrin) (7-2) - Rumored to be a runner before his Saratoga debut, this $1,000,000 son of "Malibu Moon" raced evenly that day and had the misfortune of facing the Pletcher barn's talented "Competitive Edge" that day. He came back with a second place finish at this distance on Sept. 12 at Belmont. Training fine into this and he's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Gold Shield) (5-2) - This son of "Medaglia d'Oro" also cost a cool $1M and has been bet heavily in both starts. Colt came up a "nose" shy going 8.5-furlongs at Belmont on Oct. 3 and is in the win mix.
4th pick: #3 (To Dare) (8-1) - Longshot made up some ground in his debut and son of "Curlin" may grab a minor award at a square price.
