Overmatched at Belmont in the G1 "Frizette" stakes going a mile Oct. 4th, trainer Tom Albertrani has her back in with maidens and shortens her up in distance.
2nd pick: #7 (Eloquent Tribe) (4-1) - She's rallied to finished second & third in her first pair and has been forced into wide trips in each. Capable, but she'll need to try and stay a bit closer in the first 1/4 mile.
3rd pick: #5 (Steely Magnolia) (5-1) - One of three well bred fillies that are making their debuts, and this $510K daughter of "More Than Ready" is working sharply for her first outing. In a capable first out barn (Kiaran McLaughlin 17%), and he wins at a 30% rate (51 of 170) over the past 22 months when using jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr.
4th pick: #3 (Embellish the Lace) (6-1) - Another of the debuting trio, daughter of "Super Saver" cost $320K as a yearling in Sept. of 2013. Bred for speed, filly is working sharply at Fair Hill, and trainer Tony Dutrow (11% first out) has John Velazquez signed on.
