Top pick: #5 (WILLET) - Filly was an impressive maiden winner at Belmont on Sept. 25. She quickly assumed command after rating for a 1/4 mile from her outside post and increased her margin from that point to the wire, reporting home by just over 14 lengths in very fast time. Working fast locally for her first facing winners and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #11 (Keiko) - She broke her maiden in style, winning by 5 lengths in an "off the turf" contest at Saratoga on Sept. 5. $240,000 filly set/pressed the pace at Belmont last out at this level and tired to finish third. She'll need to break running from this outside post.
3rd pick: #7 (Carmella Cee) - Cheaper sort has won four of her eight starts, and they've all come facing "open" company. Moves in with fellow state-breds and will try allowance competiton for the first time.
