Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (LADY BLESSINGS) (7-2) - Filly has been freshened up since Sept. 24 when she was only beaten 3 lengths in a grass sprint at Belmont facing tougher. Trainer Tom Morley drops her into a claimer, switches her to the dirt, and he has Irad Otiz Jr. aboard for the first time. Daughter of 'Shanghai Bobby' meets a weak field and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Latrevo) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, she has early speed and is another switching from grass to dirt. Home bred drops to a new low and enters off an above average half-mile breeze at Belmont Nov. 2. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Money Purse) (10-1) - Many who follow racing now that are under 40-years-old probably aren't familiar with trainer Leroy Jolley. Semi-retired for the past 10 years, he's a member of the 'Hall of Fame' at Saratoga. He trained two Kentucky Derby winners in 'Genuine Risk' and 'Foolish Pleasure' along with champs 'Ridan', Honest Pleasure', 'Manila', and 'Riva Ridge'. This filly finished an even fourth at Belmont Oct. 15 and is capable of getting a slice of this at a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Two Shy) (5-1) - Filly ships from Delaware Park where she raced evenly without threatening debuting there Oct. 21. Capable barn (Greg Sacco) brings her back quickly, drops her down, and she breaks from the rail. May grab a share with some improvement.
