Top pick: #5 (VETURIA) (7-5) - Nicely-bred filly spent her 2-year-old season in England in 2012 and broke her maiden at a big meet (Epsom) when she defeated a field of males on Sept. 13. Brought back to North America during the fall she finished second on Jan. 1 at Philly Park in an entry-level allowance on Jan. 1 and showed good early speed that afternoon. Drops down, working fast, and the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Hundred Acre Wood) (5-1) - Lightly-raced filly moves up a bit after running a career best when finishing second here on Feb. 17. The Sciacca barn has worked her three times in March and this New York-bred can factor right back.
3rd pick: #2 (Caution Sign) (9-5) - She's had most of her success on the grass but did finish second at this price racing on the Belmont dirt Oct. 17. On the sidelines since Nov. 11, she's working well and can factor if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Blue Sixty Four) (15-1) - Mare drops back down after an even effort on March 10 facing tougher allowance foes. Capable of grabbing a share, but her "figs" make a win a bit of a stretch.
