Top pick: #6 (MISS BROWN SUGAR) (5-1) - Kentucky shipper is from the the first crop sired by Kentucky Derby winner "Big Brown" and this filly showed excellent early speed before tiring at Churchill going a mile Oct 28th. She makes her New York debut with a cut-back in distance and draws a nice outside post. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Momentary Magic) (2-1) - Well-backed when debuting at Belmont Oct 28, she had some trouble at the start and did well to hold her own while finishing 2nd. Trainer Jim "007" Bond is always better 2nd time out (20%) and this daughter of "Indian Charlie" should appreciate the extra furlong she travels in her 2nd appearance.
3rd pick: #3 (Grand Mere) (6-1) - She was much improved here on Nov 4th when returning from a 7 week freshening and finished 2nd facing $50K maiden claimers. The "red hot" barn of Rudy Rodriguez has woked her twice in the past two weeks and a repeat of her latest makes her a threat.
