Top pick: #1 (MIDNIGHT CITRA) (6-5) - Home bred daughter of "Midnight Lute" has finished second in two straight at this level. The latest came going 6-furlongs Nov. 7 and in her previous effort she did so going a mile at Belmont. She meets a weak field, draws the rail, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Matty's Wondergirl) (8-1) - Filly ships back from Philly Park where she was beaten 3 1/2 lengths in a $75K stakes going 6.5-furlongs on Nov. 16. She was away slowly from her inside post and the effort was a positive one. Trainer Dave Donk drops her down in class and stretches her back out.
3rd pick: #6 (Bonnet Plume) (5-1) - Lasix is added to Darley home bred who has raced evenly while checking in fourth in both her starts. Daughter of "Bernardini" can factor with just a small step forward.
4th pick: #4 (Kayleigh's Road) (4-1) - She raced both wide and evenly when debuting in the same Nov. 7 sprint as "Midnight Citra." Daughter of "Bellamy Road" was 9 1/2 back of that rival at the finish, but should narrow that gap with normal second out improvement.
