Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (CARYSFORT REEF) (9-5) - Colt missed by a 'neck' here on a muddy track Nov 20 racing for a $25K tag. Claimed that day by Steve Asmussen, he brings him back quickly, moves him up in class, and he has Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard. New trainer has been a positive roll of late and this son of 'Frost Giant' is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (High Noon Cocktail) (5-1) - He's shortening up in distance after finishing third here at this level going a mile Nov 13. Good effort saw him set a quick and pressured pace before weakening. It was his first with Lasix and he's a threat at a square price.
3rd pick: #7 (Big Band Benny) (8-1) - Lightly-raced gelding is improving a bit since coming off a three month layoff Sept 26. He ran fourth at this tag and trip Oct 28 at Belmont and showed early speed that afternoon. Home bred has worked three times since and can factor today.
4th pick: #3 (Bust Another) (5-2) - He did well to be beaten only 3 1/2 lengths when debuting here at this level Nov 15. Gelding by 'Bustin Stones' lost all chance when he was squeezed back at the break. Look for a better effort with an trouble free beginning.
