Colt had been much sharper in his previous pair and it's noted that he did not have an alert getaway last out. He's worked twice since and can make amends today.
2nd pick: #2 (Brimstone) (9-5) - The morning line favorite, he recovered following a stumbling start to finish a distant in the same Nov 7 race as 'Super Psyche.' He was 4 1/2 in front of that rival and is an obvious win candidate at a short price.
3rd pick: #5 (Mascarello) (7-2) - He split 'Super Psyche' and 'Brimstone' last out while never really involved. It matched his overall best in what was his first off a 7-week break.
4th pick: #3 (Aaron Burr) (6-1) - NEW gelding broke far behind the field when debuting in a grass sprint at Belmont May 31. Nicely bred and this 3-year-old by 'Bernardini' no doubt has more talent than shown a half-year ago.
