Top pick: #1 (Entry of 1-RUSH NOW and 1a-STREET THUG) (8-5) - These two veterans are part of a Dave Jacobson trained entry and he has separate riders listed on both. Each has early speed, are in shape, and have won on wet tracks in the past. We'll take either, or preferably both as out top pick.
2nd pick: #3 (Sacred Ground) (8-1) - Strong finisher cuts back a bit and drops a little in price after rallying to finish second here going 1 1/8th miles for a $35K tag April 4th. In shape and this old timer has an excellent record on wet tracks at 10-3-2-2.
3rd pick: #5 (Sportswriter) (12-1) - Speed/stalker moves up in class and stretches out in distance in his first off a Gary Contessa claim. Grey gelding has run well (3-1-2-0) at this trip in the past and will be a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Moe Man) (2-1) - Gelding races first off a Chad Brown claim and has been freshened up since Feb. 27. Former stakes winner had been working sharply at Palm Meadows before shipping north and is an obvious threat at a short price.
