Top pick: #4 (HARPOON) (8-1) - Price play from the Baffert barn, grey son of "Tapit" had a tough post and a very wide trip last out and draws much better for this attempt. Stalker has a fine overall record and should love this longer trip.
nd pick: #10 (Uncle Sigh) (5-1) - New York-bred has run well in all his starts 4-1-3-0 and has finished second to today's rival "Samraat" in his last pair. He draws outside of that foe today and stalker should be involved every step.
rd pick: #8 (Samratt) (7-2) - Undefeated (5-for-5), he's shown a lot of grit and determination in his last two wins and today's longer distance shouldn't pose a problem. New York-bred should be in this from start-to-finish.
th pick: #6 (Cristo) (6-1) - Cal. invader has some talent and was working fast at Santa Anita before heading here. He's exhibited a flexible style and can factor with his best.
th pick: #11 (Social Inclusion) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he's won both starts impressively and gets a big class this afternoon. Speedy colt draws a tough outside post and a lot depends if he can clear into the first turn. Contender, but is no bargain at short odds.
