He won over this track last year and showed much heart when he returned from a 7-month layoff on Jan 28. In that race he was bumped at the start, fell back off the early pace, then rallied very gamely to finish 2nd of 12, beaten only by the 3-5 winner. Champchu was 3 lengths clear of the 3rd place horse and should move forward.
