TO WIN: PRIMARILY MICHELE In her Dec 7 debut this filly opened up quickly on her field while setting the fastest first quarter mile pace of any race on the card over a slow surface. She understandably tired in the final furlong, and when she returned on Jan 1 she caught a muddy track that she didn’t seem to handle while racing wide. She now moves to the beneficial rail post, where she can flaunt her early speed, and she drops in class. Blinkers go on and she gets a big positive rider change.
