She rallied from 7th that day to win going away at 12-1, but then didn’t race again for nearly 2 months. When she returned it was a positive signal that she was in a spot where she couldn’t be claimed away, but she seemed to need the race and finished an even 4th. Her real breakthrough came Jan 26, when she destroyed her field despite breaking from outermost post 10. Usually a stalker, she roared to a huge lead after putting away an early pace rival and never looked back, winning in fast time for the level while under an easy hand ride. That was her first start under top rider Dominguez, who saved plenty in the tank for today.
