Winless Wyoming is one of the worst defensive teams in the nation, surrendering 48, 31 and 38 points the last three games. And they've only played one road game, losing by 17 at Washington State. The Cowboys are on a money-burning 6-18 ATS run overall. Wyoming is also 3-10 ATS against a team with a winning record. They come off a home loss to New Mexico allowing 409 yards (302 rushing). They head out on the road to face a 2-1 Appalachian State squad that lost only to #12 Clemson. The Appalachian State Mountaineers dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage last week in a 49-0 rout of Old Dominion on the road. The Mountaineers moved the chains with ease with just over 500 yards but the defense was just as ferocious with 175 yards allowed and four turnovers. They are led by sophomore QB Taylor Lamb (eight TDs, three INTs) along with RB Marcus Cox (311 yards), scoring 49 points in their two victories. Appalachian State is on a 4-1-1 ATS run. Meanwhile struggling Wyoming is 21-44 ATS after a defeat, as well as 19-39-1 ATS following a spread loss. This one could get ugly, so lay the points and take Appalachian State.
