The Capital One Bowl should be a good one with the 9-3 Wisconsin Badgers squaring off with the 10-2 South Carolina Gamecocks. This should be a very good battle at the line of scrimmage, and both teams bring top-rated defenses to the contest. Wisconsin comes in ranked #6 in the country in fewest yards allowed, while South Carolina isn't far behind at #17. These teams are not separated by much on offense either as both have top 30 offenses. The battle at the line of scrimmage, and field position will be critical for both, as just 29 total points separate both of these teams being unbeaten coming into this game. The Badgers' edge may be in the backfield where they have a pair of strong runners that can wear down South Carolina late in the game. Melvin Gordon (1,466) and James White (1,337), both generated over 1,300 yards on the ground and scored 25 TDs. The Badgers have come back and gone 9-2-1 ATS after allowing 450 or more yards in their previous game. In January, come Bowl time, their defense answers the bell as they are 5-1 to the UNDER in their last six January contests. The Gamecocks are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven at a neutral site, and the defense stands tall in Bowl games with four of their last five finishing UNDER the total. Take Wisconsin and play the UNDER in this one.
