It is quite apparent that the odds-makers are not giving the Wisconsin Badgers a mulligan for their absolute no-show Big-10 Conference Championship game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, where they were buried in a no-contest 59-0 defeat. This is still a great Wisconsin team, and one that I would expect to respond in their Bowl Game against the Auburn Tigers. Wisconsin did not allow more than 28 points to the 12 other teams on their schedule this season, and eight of the teams they faced were Bowl teams. Auburn is another story all together. The Tigers opened the season at 5-0, and looked similar to the team that played Florida State tough in the National Championship game. Then things started to go south for this team as they finished their last seven games at 3-4. It is hard to wrap around a team that has not won a game by more than seven points since game five, as a TD favorite. It is also hard to feel a sense of importance to this game since they played in a National Championship game just a year ago, started 5-0, and really thought they had what it takes to get back there. The total here seems to be set too high under the circumstances, as well. Teams that play and lose a Conference Championship game, are 34-12 to the UNDER when they play their Bowl Game. Expect the Badgers to respond here, and they are 15-3 ATS in their last 18 after running for less than 100 yards in their last game. The Tigers have failed to cover each of their last six on grass, and they are 9-4 to the UNDER after allowing more than 40 points in their last game. Make the play on Wisconsin and the UNDER in this one.
