Western Michigan won four games a year ago and not one of the four teams they beat had a winning record. The Broncos were able to move the ball in the air fairly effectively, but the defense was just not up to the task. In their last six games, five of which were losses, they have allowed every single opponent 29 points or more at an average of 34.7 points per game. Little has changed defensively, as through five games the Broncos are 0-5 and have allowed 36.4 ppg. Offensively, Carden is no longer here at QB, and Tyler Van Tubbergen has been a train wreck, throwing 9 INTs already, and generating just 5 yards per attempt. Toledo has faced Missouri and Florida already which has skewed their stats. This is a much better team than the 1-4 record they show right now. Toledo has been very good at getting up off the mat after a loss, going 17-7 ATS in their last 24. The Broncos' defensive woes have them at 16-34-3 ATS in heir last 53 after allowing 450 or more yards in their last game. Lay it, and go with Toledo.
