West Virginia at Oklahoma State

West Virginia was #119 in the nation in total offense last season and returns a pair of shaky QBs in Jarret Doege and Austin Kendall. They split time and combined for 19 TDs and 13 INTs, plus their top two running backs averaged a dismal 3.4 and 3.3 yards per carry. The defense had a strong second half in 2019 and returns DL Darius Stills, who flirted with the NFL but decided to return for his senior year. West Virginia is 19-9 UNDER the total after allowing 20 points or less in the last game, plus 47-22 UNDER after allowing less than 170 yards passing. After walking all over Eastern Kentucky, the Mountaineers play their first road game in the Big 12 opener. Oklahoma State has good weapons on offense, including a ground attack that can chew up yards and the clock, while the defense ranked #37 in defensive efficiency in 2019. And they return 21 of 22 defenders. These teams played a 20-13 game a year ago as West Virginia had 333 total yards while Oklahoma State had just 285. Both offenses were 5-of-14 on third down as neither could run the football. With the UNDER having cashed five of the last seven times these teams have clashed, this total is too high. Take UNDER the total.
