Washington State at California

The Pac-12 is full of teams that have a storied and successful history. After 11 straight seasons without a winning record, Coach Mike Leach appears to have been a great hire. His team has been knocking on the door with a total of 17 wins the past two years, and are off to a perfect 6-0 start to 2017. The Cougars met the challenge two weeks ago in beating USC at home, and were even more impressive last week on the road at Oregon, winning easily 33-10. While the offense has always been the focal point in Leach's system, he has put together a very strong defense, one that has held three opponents to 10 points or less. California has fallen on hard times at just 25-42 since 2012, allowing a woeful 37.1 points per game in those 67 games.
