Washington State at Arizona State

The Washington State Cougars have fallen on hard times. Their last 32 games against FBS teams have seen them go 0-32 in regulation. They sport two wins over that stretch, but both required overtime, for an overall mark of 2-30. It is one thing to lose, but when you look at the fact that this team has lost the 30 games by a combined total of 925 points (31 points per game), they aren't even close. THis year they are 0-4 on the road, losing on average 45-23. They are now facing a team that has averaged 42 points per game at home. The Sun Devils were just whipped 50-17 by Cal, so they are going to be venting some steam here. This one could get ugly as Arizona State is now 19-7 as a home favorite of 10.5 or more, covering six of their last seven at home overall. The home team has taken the cash in six of the last eight meetings. Coming off a big loss, I don't expect Arizona State to be a no-show for this one, which spells trouble for a very poor Cougars team. Dennis Erickson led teams are 30-15 ATS as a home favorite and under Erickson, the Sun Devils are 8-1 ATS as a favorite of 10-21 points. I like Arizona State here.
