PEACH BOWL - Washington is a big dog, but is loaded across the board under third-year coach Chris Petersen, who was used to winning bowls while at Boise State. Washington is deadly on offense, averaging 44.5 points per game behind pro-style QB Jake Browning (42 TDs, seven INTs, 3,280 yards). He has great weapons to work with in sophomore running back Myles Gaskin (1,339 yards, 5.9 yards per carry), RB Lavon Coleman (836 yards, 7.8 ypc) and WR John Ross (1,122 yards). And the defense allows 17.2 points per game (eighth in the nation), #10 in yards allowed, led by junior free safety Budda Baker. The Huskies are 18-7-1 ATS after getting less than 170 yards passing in their previous game. They have more than enough on both sides of the ball to hang with mighty Alabama with so much at stake. Take the points and play Washington.
