Utah has suffered numerous injuries this season, but its defense has been able to keep the games close until last week when, surprisingly, the offense erupted in a 52-45 win at UCLA, which undoubtedly inflated this week's posted total. Joe Williams came out of retirement because the Utes ran out of running backs. Against the Bruins, he rushed for 332 yards on 29 carries and four touchdowns. Troy Williams was 12-of-24 for 179 yards and an interception. Utah will have a much tougher time against the Huskies, who are ranked sixth in scoring defense with 14.6 points per game #15 in total yards allowed. Utah's defense is #37 in yards allowed and #31 in giving up 21.6 points per contest. Utah is 9-4 UNDER its last 13 home games and 19-7-1 UNDER its last 27 against winning teams. Don't expect another offensive explosion from the Utes against undefeated Washington, so play the game to stay UNDER the total.
