Last year the Hilltoppers opened the season 5-1, covering all six games. But, they lost five of their last seven. Their seven wins came at the expense of one non-FBS team, and six others that combined for an overall record of 24-49. They have a new coach and a new system, and also have to replace just about their entire defensive line. Tennessee was all offense last season, and this year they will be a more balanced team. They certainly have the power up front to manhandle the untested WKU defensive line. The Vols did lose seven games a year ago, but their losses came against some stiff competition as they played Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. All those teams did was go 54-11 combined. This is not apples to apples, so I expect Tennessee to control the line of scrimmage on both sides and get a big win. Play on Tennessee.
