Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh has the same 1-1 conference record as Virginia Tech, and overall on the season both of these teams have scored 183 points. Their points allowed are separated by just 5, so the numbers on the scoreboard have read the same - except that the Hokies bring one more win with them at 4-2. This is a crucial game as far as the ACC goes as the loser drops to 1-2 in conference play. Pittsburgh has dropped three straight by a total of 20 points, including a competitive loss to division leader Virginia on the road. Pitt ranks #4 in the country in total defense, and playing at home on a Thursday night and needing a win, I think we will see the "A" game. That could spell trouble for Tech QB Michael Brewer, who has thrown at least 1 INT in every game on the season, and 11 on the year. Virginia Tech has always been strong at home, but their teams in recent years have not been as good as in the past and they carry forward that reputation.
