UTEP has one win this season and heads out on the road. UTEP was favored by five last week, but lost 35-21 to Florida International, allowing 241 yards passing, and 258 rushing (5.9 yards per carry). The Miners are 1-9 ATS when following a double-digit loss at home, plus 10-23 ATS after a spread loss. Three UTEP quarterbacks gave combined for six TDs and five picks on an offense that is #118 in the nation in yards and second to last in points scored (15.7 per game). UTEP's defense is just as bad at #117 in the country in points allowed (37.7 pg) and #115 against the run, allowing 232 yards per contest. Texas-San Antonio had a tough schedule to start the season but has righted the ship, winning two straight tallying 69 points. For the season their quarterbacks have combined for 11 TDs to just three picks. RB Jalen Rhodes has 441 yards, 5.7 yards per carry, while WR Josh Stewart (335 yards) has speed to burn averaging 27.9 yards per catch! He just torched Rice last week with a pair of catches for 103 yards, one week after making two catches for 85 yards against Southern Miss. They were a +17 dog and upset Southern Miss, 55-32, so look for a one-sided win by the home team. Give the points on Texas-San Antonio.
