The South Florida Bulls made a statement in their opening game by going on the road to Notre Dame and shocking the Irish in a 23-20 win. Notre Dame isn't that bad a team as they showed last week in their decisive 31-13 win over Michigan State. The Big East is wide open without any clear-cut favorite, and the Bulls are emerging as a serious contender. BJ Daniels is now a healthy and experienced junior, and has made tremendous strides. He is completing 67% of his passes for 8.7 yards per pass, but more importantly six TD's to one INT. Darrell Scott balances the attack as he has rushed for 7.5 yards per carry through three games. The Bulls are winning by almost 30 points per game (53 per game in two at home) and UTEP is likely in serious trouble here. The Miners needed OT to sneak past Stony Brook, and had their hands full against New Mexico State. NM State has four winning seasons in their last 43 and hasn't sniffed the postseason since 1960 so that's a really bad sign for the Miners. South Florida has been lighting it up in non-conference play at 5-0 ATS in their last five. Under head coach Mike Price, UTEP is just 7-16 ATS following an ATS win. This one should be a blowout from start to finish.
