UTEP at Southern Miss

Todd Monken is doing a great job rebuilding the Southern Mississippi program as the the Golden Eagles have won five games, which is two more than they have won over the last three years. Southern Miss is 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS at home and its only losses were to Mississippi State, Nebraska and Marshall. Nick Mullens has completed 63.5 percent of his passes and thrown 21 touchdown passes to seven interceptions. Jalen Richard averages 85 rushing yards per game. UTEP had a deceptive 27-17 win against Florida Atlantic when following a 52-12 loss against Florida International and the Miners now are 3-4 SU and just 1-5-1 ATS. UTEP has allowed 496 total yards per game against FBS opponents. Southern Miss is #15 in the country offensively and averaging 37.2 points at home. The Miners are ranked #99 on offense and actually could have a letdown after its unlikely win last week. UTEP is 1-4 ATS when following a win and 0-4 ATS its last four road games dating to last season. Lay the points and play Southern Miss.
