UTEP at Colorado State

UTEP is searching for its first win although the Miners did get the money losing 28-10 as a 24-point underdog at Liberty last week. Skyler Locklear completed 26 of 43 for 244 yards and a TD for the Miners, but he also was picked off twice. The top four receivers combined for 23 catches for 228 yards and Jevon Jackson ran for 67 yards on 4.5 yards per carry. UTEP is 5-2 ATS dating to last season and first-year coach Scotty Walden brought in 12 transfers to offset losing seven offensive starters. It is beginning to pay off, although the Miners need to get into the end zone more. Colorado State's only victory was against Northern Colorado and the Rams were routed their other two games against Texas and Colorado. The Rams are 0-8 ATS dating to last season and they have won only three of nine outright. The Miners are 4-0 ATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 10.0 points and they have covered five of six as dogs overall. Colorado State is 0-6 ATS versus teams with losing records and 0-5 ATS its past five home games. The Rams are 6-1 UNDER as home favorites of 3.5 to 10.0 points.
