The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets had the ground game in high gear early, but looking at the teams they faced tells a different story. They had the passing game working early and in the first four games they out-rushed their opponents by a whooping three yards per carry as their passing game made the running game lethal. They weren't effective vs. the four top run-stop units they faced, passing just 23-50 with five INTs, scoring just 24.8 points per game. Utah's strength lies in stopping the run. The top four running teams they faced fell 1.75 yards per carry short of their season average. There is an even bigger reason why I like Utah here. They face the Air Force option every year and know how to play it with plenty experience. Air Force is ranked in the top five in each of the last five years they played them and scored 86 total points or 19.2 ppg, rushing well below their season average. Georgia Tech has close to 80% of the public backing them here - another key buying sign on Utah. The Utes have also embraced the role of a dog as they are 36-15-1 ATS in their last 52 when taking points. Make the play on Utah.
