Utah at San Diego State

Utah Coach Kyle Whittingham was certainly perplexed by his team's performance in a loss to BYU. His team got caught in a revenge storm as BYU finally got redemption vs their biggest rival and ended a nine-game losing streak to Utah. The Utes surrendered an uncharacteristic 250 rushing yards in the defeat. They won't be caught off-guard this week vs. San Diego State. The Aztecs are 2-0 with a pair of soft wins vs Arizona and New Mexico State. Neither was very impressive as New Mexico State, a team that sat out the 2020 season due to Covid-19, outgained San Diego State. The San Diego State. defense has been solid in recent years but this is the best offense and defense combo they will have seen to date, and the Utes will come with their 'A-game' after a miserable loss.
