USC's offense isn't as potent as last year while breaking in a new QB. They've used two quarterbacks, too, going with freshman Sam Darnold now. USC is #66 in the nation in yards, #89 in rushing and #95 in points (25 points per game). The defense has been more consistent, allowing 37 total points the last two games. They come off a 21-17 win over Colorado where they allowed 96 yards rushing (3.3 yards per carry), dominating in the stretches. Colorado was 7-of-19 on third and fourth down. USC is 12-5-1 UNDER the total in Pac-12 contests, 33-16-2 UNDER after a spread loss. Arizona has struggled on offense because of QB injuries, ranked #76 in passing, #69 in points (28.2 ppg). They've been contained the last two weeks, scoring 24 and 23 points to UCLA and Utah. They went a combined 10-of-30 on third and fourth down. The Wildcats have been hampered by injuries in the offensive backfield, as QB Anu Solomon and multi-threat QB Brandon Dawkins have both gone down at times this year, necessitating the appearance of true freshman QB Khalil Tate. All of which means more defense than offense. Play USC/Arizona UNDER the total.
