UNLV at Fresno State

UNLV, for some reason, continues to have a football program even though the Rebels have been between awful and mediocre for 25 years. They were 0-6 in 2020 and are already 0-3 this year while allowing 40.0 points per game. It's not much better on the other side of the ball as the Rebels have used four quarterbacks in the last six quarters of play. Sophomore Doug Brumfield is the only one to lead a touchdown drive, and he was injured last week against Iowa State when UNLV lost 48-3. Fresno State comes off an upset win over UCLA while coming from behind to win in the final minute 40-37, and the Bulldogs gave Oregon a scare while losing 31-24 after destroying Connecticut 45-0 in the season opener. Jake Haener has thrown for 1,464 yards in four games with a 73.6% completion rate with 10 touchdowns and just one interception. The Bulldogs have averaged 48 points in the last three meetings, including a 40-27 win last year as 11-point favorites.
