UL Monroe at UL Lafayette

There isn't a whole lot to like about these teams, as between them they have come a way with a grand total of just one win vs. an FBS team. That being said, this is an in-state rivalry game, which usually lends itself to a competitive nature and greater intensity. While neither team has defensive strength, it is a matter of a pair of much below average passing attacks being able to exploit the opposing defense enough to push this game into the high 50s or beyond, and I just don't see it happening. The running games aren't strong, and the UL Lafayette pass attack generates just 6.4 yards per play vs. a schedule of opponents that allow 8.4. UL Monroe isn't any better, generating 5.7 yards per play with its aerial attack vs. a schedule of defenses allowing 7.5. UL Monroe is now 13-3 to the UNDER when following a spread loss, and 11-4 on the road in their last 15 vs. a team with a losing home record. Play on the UNDER.
