UL Monroe at Texas State

It has been a most trying season for the UL Monroe War Hawks, as they head to Texas State with a 1-9 record on the season, but have yet to win a game vs. a FBS team this season. The War Hawks' biggest problem, amongst many, has been an awful offense, one that has generated just 4.6 yards per play against a schedule of opponents that would combine to average allowing 5.7 yards per play. The defense is not good to begin with, and has spent a lot of time on the field. They appear to be breaking down as fatigue sets in, as they have allowed over 50 points in each of their last two games. Texas State at 2-7 has not fared much better on the season, but the biggest edge here will be the home field, as well as the Texas State run offense, which is generating an above average 5.3 yards per carry vs. opponents combining to allow 4.7. They should peel off big chunks of yardage, and will be the difference maker here. Play on Texas State.
