UL Monroe at Florida State

UL-Monroe stepped up twice last season and scored 31 total points in losses at Texas A&M and Ole Miss. For this September, the emphasis is on running the football with three of the top four targets graduating and everyone back on an offensive line that was terrific in pass protection and at keeping defenses out of the backfield. UL Monroe is on a 9-1 run UNDER the total on the road, as well as 7-1 UNDER in non-conference games. It will be tough going for the offense against an angry Florida State defense off a 36-31 loss to Boise State, blowing a 21-6 lead. A college football team like the Seminoles that allowed 255+ yards passing the previous season and returns eight defensive starters is 50-20 UNDER the total in the first two weeks of the season.
