San Diego State is a potent and well balanced offensive team. They have ridden the arm of Ryan Lindley who passed for 2,740 yards on the season and 20 TD passes, and the running of Ronnie Hill who rushed for 1,656 yards to finish third in the nation, producing 19 TDs in the process. UL Lafayette will be hard-pressed to stop either, as they allowed 30+ to seven teams this season. Late in the season, the Cajuns allowed 30+ to four of their last five opponents to an average of 34.4 points per game. The Cajuns however have a potent offense themselves, one that topped 30 pints in nine games this season. They have also featured great balance, producing 22 TDs in the air and 19 on the ground. This one certainly has the potential to be a shootout and I think the total here is relatively low with two explosive and balanced offenses, without a whole lot of resistance on the defensive end. The Cajuns are 37-17 to the OVER after allowing +450 yards in their previous game, as well as 7-1 to the OVER in their last eight out of conference. San Diego State is 4-0 to the OVER after producing +450 in their last game. Play the OVER in this one.
