UL Lafayette at South Alabama

UL Lafayette will take to the road and face South Alabama this week. This is a huge game for both teams as they each come in at 4-3. The winner will be one game shy of being bowl-eligible while the loser drops to .500. South Alabama opened the season with a 5-turnover loss to Tulane. They have not turned the ball over five times since and that is a strong reason why the Jaguars are 4-2 since the opener. The Jags have to feel good about themselves as they have won their last two games by a combined score of 110-10. LA Lafayette has turned the ball over 11 times in their last five games. These teams have played a similar schedule in terms of strength and LA-Lafayette has outgained their schedule of opponents by 61 yards, and South Alabama a much more dominant 136 yards per game. South Alabama has out-scored opponents 40-18 on the season at home. I like South Alabama.
