It has been a tale of two opposing outcomes for Oklahoma State to start the season. They won their opener 84-0 vs. Savannah State, but then fell to Arizona 59-38 in week two. How will the Cowboys react here? One thing clear: the OK State offense is as explosive as ever. Despite 15 penalties for a school record 167 yards, the Cowboys still managed 38 points last week. They should fix some things this week. It will also help that they are taking on a Ragin’ Cajun team that they have knocked off eight straight times, so the offense should be exceedingly good here. Louisiana Lafayette has benefitted from a +6 turnover margin in their first two games - something that is unlikely to continue vs. a formidable foe. The last three games here have seen the combined results in favor of Oklahoma State by a count of 171-65. Two of those were the last two seasons, and Louisiana Lafayette has gone 8-3 since last year’s loss. Even as UL has improved, the competitiveness of this game has not. I'm betting that the Cowboys will be in an ornery mood after the big loss last week that dropped the them out of the Top 25 for the first time in two years. This team is 11-1 ATS after a loss of 20 points or more. They are also 37-16 ATS under Mike Gundy as a favorite. Last week was a fluke after an 84-0 win. Play on Oklahoma State here.
