UL Lafayette at Appalachian State

UL-Lafayette is getting a lot of attention, moving into the Top 25 after putting up 70 points last week. However, this is their second straight road game and it's on short rest. They are on a 2-7 spread run in conference action and have failed to cover five of six against winning teams. They face a strong Appalachian State squad that is off a 47-10 blowout of Troy. QB Zac Thomas (17 TDs, 8 INTs) leads this balanced offense along with a pair of running backs who average 6.0 and 5.6 yards per carry. The defense is outstanding, too, #13 in the country in yards allowed, #15 in points surrendered (18 pg). Appalachian State won last year over UL-Lafayette, 45-38, with 267 yards rushing.
