Stanford is a great defensive team, holding three of five opponents to 17 points or less. Stanford is on an 18-8 run UNDER the total, as well as 36-17 UNDER in October. Stanford is home and has won 24 straight home night games -- the longest active streak in the FBS. Since 2010, the Cardinal are 41-5 in games played in California and 20-2 against fellow California schools. They've also dominated this UCLA team at 6-1 ATS against the Bruins, including 7-2 ATS at Stanford. Stanford has had seven straight wins against UCLA, including last year and the 2012 PAC-12 title game. The games haven't even been close with the Cardinal outscoring the Bruins 221-96 during the streak. Dominating the trenches has been the biggest reason for the success. Stanford has averaged 196 yards rushing per game during the streak, while recording 24 sacks. Stanford is on a 43-21-1 ATS spread run, including 35-16 ATS at home. Into town comes a UCLA team with a freshman QB in Josh Rosen. He has been up and down, but still has plenty of growing pains with nine TDs and five picks. UCLA coach Jim Mora, Jr. has lost all four meetings against the Cardinal since taking over as coach. UCLA comes off its first loss, getting thumped 38-23 to Arizona State as a two TD favorite. Injuries are a big part of the problem: UCLA's Myles Jack is done for the year with a knee injury; the Bruins are also missing four defenders with cornerback Fabian Moreau and defensive lineman Eddie Vanderdoes (knee) out. UCLA is 5-21 ATS in October and 34-16-1 UNDER the total following a defeat. The Bruins come off a bye and the team is 15-5 UNDER the total after a bye, as well as 10-4 UNDER on the road. The UNDER is also 10-4 when these rivals meet, so look for the home team dominate with its defense -- again! Take Stanford and the UNDER.
