Mike Stoops is gone at Arizona. When you’re considered a defensive specialist and your team ranks No. 117 out of 120 teams in defense, it surely was time to go. The Wildcats were allowing 37.5 points per game under Stoops this season. That is not going to change overnight. The Cats have allowed 37 or more points to every Div-1 team they have played on the season, putting them in dangerous territory as a favorite. UCLA has had an extremely difficult schedule thus far, squaring off with Texas, undefeated Houston, unbeaten Stanford and 5-1 Washington State. They are better than their record would indicate and are certainly better than the 1-5 Wildcats. Arizona has been a poor choice as a home favorite in the range of -3.5-10 points where they are a money-burning 3-12 ATS in their last 15. This team lacks leadership right now and the defense is just too soft. Take UCLA and the points.
