UAB at Louisiana Tech

UAB won last year's meeting 23-22 and it went UNDER by 20 points and the Blazers now have gone UNDER seven of their last eight games dating to last season, including last week's 28-7 win over Charlotte. UAB is #3 in the country in pass defense allowing only 141.0 yards per game and #22 overall in yards allowed. The Blazers held Charlotte scoreless until the fourth quarter and outyarded the 49ers 330-263. UAB also showed some prowess with its run defense holding the 49ers to 69 yards on just 2.0 yards per carry. Louisiana Tech went UNDER in its 29-27 win over North Texas and it held the Mean Green to six points the final three quarters. J'Mar Smith completed 20-of-39 for 230 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs, who held North Texas to 3.5 yards per rush. Last year's second-team All-C-USA cornerback, Amik Robertson, blocked a 46-yard field goal attempt with 23 seconds left to seal the win for Louisiana Tech.
